Music serves as one the main sources inspiration for everything created within Wobble Studios, including the production of my own music. All the songs, beats, melodies, etc. are created with the digital audio workstation FL Studio.
As an aspiring music producer I try to challenge myself with making music not limited by a certain genre, therefore creating something truly organic and personal. At CMD Breda I am able to further develop my music prowess and share my experience with other students that share this interest. Even going as far as creating a group called DOORDEWEEKS. Still new with creating as a collective we are working on our signature sound and releasing a project we are all proud of.
DOORDEWEEKS has released their debut record called "Spanningsboog". A nederpop style song inspired by the current day interest of the younger generation. The overall production, recording and mastering of the track was done by me. Producing and recording were not new to me but the mastering definitely was. To make a good song is one thing but to balance the song completely to make sure it is enjoyable to listen to in all possible ways turned out to be quite the challenge. In total there were about 8 different mixing versions of the song with nearly 70 hours of tedious micromanagement and test listenings. But with all that done there is not enough to be said about how much I have grown as a musician and the end result is definitely one I am very proud of.
While working on a bigger music project DOORDEWEEKS dropped a second single titled "Schimmige Vent". An high tempo song that has its production inspired by modern British Rap artists such as Dave. Focused on reaching a higher level of musical quality, new ways of mixing and mastering songs had to be learned. Schimmige Vent is a song not fit for a single genre. Especially its third verse defies logic within the modern Dutch music scene.
